Turn Staten Island Ferry Terminal into an Art Tourist Attraction

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Hank Bardel who is running for Congress from the 11th Congressional district of New York State, which includes all of Staten Island and part of Brooklyn, has endorsed a plan to turn the Staten Island Ferry Terminal into an art gallery for local Staten Island artists. He also suggests that a booth be set up to attract tourists who ride the Staten Island Ferry boats from Manhattan to guide them to Staten Island attractions. “The booth should be open and permanently staffed 12 hours a day, seven days a week. I will work to to secure federal funding for the museum, the booth and personnel if I am elected to Congress.” Bardel says. Bardel also says that this will also be good for local restaurants, diners and other local places to buy food. “This is a good example of how government and local businesses can cooperate to promote jobs and the local economy.” says Bardel.
