Green Party’s Tony Gronowicz to run for NYC’s next mayor

The NYC mayoral race is in full swing as Michael Bloomberg prepares to step down after 12 years on the job. The race gets a lot of attention as beyond the leading candidates, there are a slew of other politicians running to become for New York City’s next mayor. The VoR spoke with Michael O’Neil, he is Co-Chair of the Green Party of NY State, who represents mayoral candidate Anthony Gronowicz.

VoR: Good afternoon, Michael, and tell us a little about your candidate.

MO: Hi, Angela, it’s great to be on. The Green Party is a recognised party in New York State, we won that by exceeding 50,000 votes per governor in 2010, which all parties have to do every four years to maintain their ballot status.
