White sand, blue water, Green Party
The Green Party is taking it to the beach. Howie Hawkins and Brian Jones, Green Party candidates for Governor and Lt. Governor, will be making a campaign stop at Orchard Beach this Sunday, Aug. 3rd at noon.
Howie and Brian were scheduled to be in New York for an event in Brooklyn anyway but Ramon Jimenez, our GP Attorney General candidate and lifelong Bronxite, convinced them to do a meet and greet at Orchard Beach, and they agreed.
Along with Howie and Brian, Ramon and State Senate candidate, Carl Lundgren (SD34), will also be in attendance. This will be a great opportunity to talk with our statewide and local candidates to see how our campaigns are going, and to introduce more people to the Green Party. Or just use it as an excuse for a day out at the beach.
If you would like to volunteer to help us out with distributing literature and getting contact information from beachgoers, we’ll be meeting in front of Ramon’s office, 145 E. 149th St. (just West of the Concourse), at 11:30 am and then proceed by car to Orchard Beach. Please let us know if you might be able to provide an additional car.
For more information, and to let us know if you can volunteer to help, call us at one of the following numbers:
Ramon Jimenez – 917-517-1320
Carl Lundgren – 347-920-1606
John Reynolds – 718-510-4926
Or, email firstname.lastname@example.org
The BX12 to Orchard Beach runs on Sundays from 7:00am – 8:00pm on a frequent schedule.
What better combination could there be than white sand, blue water…and the Green Party! Hope to see you there.
Ramon Jimenez — GP candidate for NYS Atty. General
John Reynolds — Chair, Green Team 2014
Carl Lundgren — Secretary – Treasurer, Green Team 2014
